FINDLAY, Ohio, Sept. 6, 2012 - Marathon Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: MPC) today
announced it will donate $500,000 to the American Red Cross in Louisiana and
$500,000 to designated local charities in the area near our operations that are
providing support for the many families who were impacted by Hurricane Isaac.

know that the recovery process will be long and the American Red Cross is there
