FINDLAY, Ohio, Dec. 7, 2012 - Marathon Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: MPC) today announced it will donate $10,000 to the non-profit organization Golf Fore Africa in honor of Stacy Lewis, LPGA Tour Rolex Player of the Year Award recipient.
Golf Fore Africa, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing hope and support to children in Africa that have been orphaned or made vulnerable by the AIDS pandemic. The organization, founded by LPGA Hall of Fame Golfer Betsy King in early 2007, provides education, medical care and assistance, training on HIV/AIDS prevention and community support. This includes the funding of a wide range of projects that offer hope for a better life by providing access to medical treatment, education, agriculture assistance and clean water resources.

Stacy Lewis completed the 2012 LPGA Tour with four victories and 16 Top 10 finishes. On Nov. 16, she received the Rolex Player of the Year Award. Lewis is the first American in 18 years to earn this distinction. Marathon Petroleum signed a sponsorship agreement with Lewis earlier this year.
